Why should kids have all the fun?!
Parents, join your 9-13 yr old for a week of fun exploring Austin's creeks and aquifer. We'll discover fossils, caves, and springs on a scavenger hunt along Barton creek, test water quality, get down underground into a wild cave, clean up trash while canoeing a creek, and dive into barton springs.

Dates: June 10-13, July 8-11, and July 16-18
Time: 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Ages: 9-13 year olds with an adult. Adult Supervision Required: includes a parent, scout leader or other supervising adult.   
Cost: $40.00 reimbursable deposit per family (please send a check).

Watershed Camp (Session A: June 10 - 13, 9am-noon)

  • Explore the Colorado River with a scavenger hunt challenge
  • Wade in the creek and find out how bugs tell us about water quality
  • Clean up and float on Lady Bird Lake
  • Learn Green Gardening for water quality

Watershed & Aquifer Camp (Session B: July 8 - 11, 9am-noon) 

  • Explore Barton Creek with a scavenger hunt challenge
  • Paddle and clean up Barton Creek
  • Get down into the Aquifer through a local cave
  • Wade in the creek and find out how bugs tell us about water quality

Watershed & Aquifer 3 Day Camp (Session C: July 16-18, 9am - noon)

  • Explore Bull Creek watershed and test water quality
  • Get down into the Aquifer through a local cave (not for the claustrophobic!)
  • Canoe and cleanup Barton Creek
