Whether you’re looking for a one-time project or want to get involved on an ongoing basis there’s always somewhere to clean. ONE TIMECommunity Cleanups - Make your community a better place to live and work! Keep Austin Beautiful provides cleanup supplies and guidance to individuals and groups interested in cleaning up public space. Creek Cleanup - Are you tired of seeing your favorite creek littered with trash? In one day, would you like to make a huge impact on your local environment? If so, a creek cleanup might be just what you’re looking for! Recycling ONGOINGAdopt-a-Street - You've seen the cool signs around town, but what's it all about? The Adopt-a-Street program gives local groups the opportunity to take ownership over a public street in Austin. Adopt-a-Creek - Do you have a favorite creek? Would your group like to take ownership of your creek and make a visible impact on your local environment? If so, Adopt-a-Creek is the perfect opportunity for you. EVENTSClean Sweep - A network of litter cleanups take place all over Austin, followed by a volunteer thank-you party. Clean Lady Bird Lake - Love Lady Bird Lake but hate the styrofoam washed up along its shoreline? Join us for large-scale cleanups every other month, host your own, become a Rapid Rain Responder, tell us where the trash is, and more. Lake Travis Underwater Cleanup - KAB teams up with the LCRA, the Colorado River Foundation, and Travis County for the BIGGEST scuba diving AND shoreline cleanup in Texas! The cleanup is on a Sunday morning and is followed by a volunteer thank-you party in the afternoon. This is a great event for ALL ages! |
