23RD ANNUAL LAKE TRAVIS PARKS CLEANUP

 

 

WHAT IS THE LAKE TRAVIS PARKS CLEANUP?

The Lake Travis Parks Cleanup is an annual cleanup event that invites several hundred volunteers to help round-up trash from 9 Travis County Parks surrounding Lake Travis. The cleanup is followed by a volunteer thank-you party & is a great event for ALL ages!

 

2008 RESULTS

  • On Saturday, June 28, 2008
    • Over 300 volunteers registered to participate
    • 11 Lake Travis Parks were cleaned
    • 1.7 TONS (that's 3,748 pounds) of trash was collected
    • The value for just the volunteer time was $14,633!

  • Check-in, Supply Pick-up & Volunteer Party: Check-in, Supply Pick-up and the Party were at the Travis County West Service Center, located off FM 620 at Mansfield Dam.

    All registered volunteers got a free tee shirt, lunch, and the chance to win some great door prizes. The event is free.
