In partnership with the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department, Keep Austin Beautiful organizes large-scale cleanups every other month, volunteer trainings, and a Rapid Rain Responder initiative to tackle trash from 24 locations along the shoreline and from watercrafts on and along Lady Bird Lake.
Large-Scale Bi-Monthly Cleanups
Large-scale, bi-monthly cleanups are scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of every other month, except October when the cleanup is the 3rd Saturday. 2016 dates are February 13, April 9 - Clean Sweep,
June 11, rescheduled to June 25, August 13, October 15, and December 10. Registration opens four weeks prior to each event.
Rapid Rain Responders
A team of volunteers use their own boats to tackle trash that floods into the lake after rainstorms. If you have your own boat and are interested in helping after a big storm, please sign up below. We will email when rain responders are needed.
