AUSTIN, TX (November 4, 2023) – Keep Austin Beautiful is thrilled to share our Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2023! Read on for an introduction to the report by Keep Austin Beautiful CEO Rodney Ahart.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your unwavering belief in the Keep Austin Beautiful mission.
Since our founding in 1985, we have harnessed the power of community to enhance neighborhoods and green spaces throughout the Greater Austin Area. Your continued support enables us to remove litter, preserve the beauty of Lady Bird Lake and local creeks, and educate K-12 students on the importance of recycling and composting.
The year 2023 has been truly remarkable. Our dedicated team successfully educated 12,542 students and mobilized 9,228 volunteers, who contributed a collective 22,127 hours of community service. Together, we removed a staggering 70 tons of litter and recyclables, and revitalized 314 miles of roadways and waterways, resulting in a substantial $584,817 in cost savings for our great city.
In a time when access to green spaces is limited, especially in underserved urban areas, and screen time for teenagers extends to 8 hours and 39 minutes per day, our commitment to providing equitable access to the outdoors is stronger than ever. We aim to bridge the gap, ensuring everyone can connect with nature, participate in outdoor activities, and become empowered stewards of our shared green spaces.
We invite you to explore our annual report, which showcases the impactful ways Keep Austin Beautiful is powering the community to make a noticeable difference in our city.
Warmest regards,
Rodney E. Ahart
