Love Where You Live with The Coca-Cola Company and Arca-Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages

Keep Austin Beautiful partnered with The Coca-Cola Company and Arca-Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) for an astounding spring of keeping Austin recycling and showing love for our city with the Love ATX campaign.

Austinites love live music and our beautiful green spaces and waterways. At the Coca-Cola Sips and Sounds Music Festival, we got to celebrate both by keeping Austin beautiful through the Recycle and Refresh program. Keep Austin Beautiful volunteers helped festival goers recycle 10,690 cans and bottles. That’s 430 pounds of recycling!

We saw enthusiasm for recycling throughout the festival: folks collecting cans from friends to bring to the recycling stations, engaging in conversations about recycling, and redeeming their recycling points for fun Love ATX Sips and Sounds merch.

To encourage the spirit of recycling and litter reduction beyond the festival, Keep Ausitn Beautiful, The Coca-Cola Company, and CCSWB shared the messages of “Pick it up!” and “Recycle it!” on eye-catching signs all across Austin.

Then, on Keep Austin Beautiful Day on Saturday, April 18, the CCSWB team celebrated Earth Month by giving back with a community cleanup at Festival Beach. Working as a team, they removed 550 pounds of recycling and trash from our shared Austin green spaces.
