Is this an in-person event?
This is a fully remote, self-led cleanup event. We’ll be making Austin more beautiful together, while apart.
How long is this event?
We’re asking everyone to volunteer between 9 and 11 A.M., on the second Saturday of the month.
Do you have information on cleaning litter in a COVID environment?
We do! When picking up litter, Keep Austin Beautiful recommends participants do so responsibly and at their comfort level. Your cleanup group can include just the members of your household; our cleanup kit provides supplies for up to 10 people.
When you finish collecting litter, please dispose of any single-use face masks and disposable gloves properly by placing them into your trash bag. Make sure your trash bag is securely tied to protect sanitation workers. After placing the trash bag into your trash cart, immediately wash your hands with soap and water.

Can I register for multiple kits?
Keep Austin Beautiful will provide ONE free kit per participating household while supplies last.
Where do we discard our trash after the cleanup?
We ask that volunteers take the bags home to their own personal trashcans, or drop off the trash at an approved location.
Can I send someone else to pick-up my kit?
If someone else is picking up your cleanup kit, they will need to provide your first & last name at pickup.
Do we have to return the kits after?
Once you pick up your kit, it belongs to you. You can use these tools to continue doing Love Where You Live cleanups at any time!
