KTB awards 12 affiliate communities with Community Improvement Grant from H-E-B and Central Market
[Austin, Texas] – Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) has recognized Keep Austin Beautiful as a recipient of a 2019 Green Bag Grant. Through funding from H-E-B and Central Market, Keep Texas Beautiful will provide 12 affiliate communities with a share of $25,000 to support educational and programmatic opportunities relating to sustainability, recycling, litter prevention, beautification and water conservation.
To assist with the implementation of their project, Austin has received $2,500 to begin and support their proposed community project. KTB will also provide additional social media and marketing support. Keep Austin Beautiful will complete their project by July 2020.
Keep Austin Beautiful is an award-winning nonprofit organization that inspires and educates all Austinites to volunteer together, beautify green spaces, clean waterways, and reduce waste every day. Keep Austin Beautiful is known for providing fun, impactful outdoor volunteer and learning experiences for people of any age or level of knowledge.
In addition to Austin, the affiliate communities of Abilene, Aransas County, Cedar Hill, Friendswood, Hutto, Levelland, Lewisville, Midland, Plano, Santa Fe, and Wilson County also received a Green Bag Grant.
Keep Austin Beautiful will use the grant to provide its Clean Creek Campus students with high-quality recyclable water bottles.
