Workday at Blunn Creek Nature Preserve

The Blunn Creek Partnership is working on ecological restoration of the 38-acre Blunn Creek Nature Preserve. Volunteers are welcome to join one of the monthly workdays on the 1st Saturday of every month. Workdays will consist of cutting ligustrum and stacking it in a brush pile for chipping. Groups are welcome!

Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and a long sleeved shirt, and bring a water bottle and gloves. Parking is available along 1200 St Edwards Dr. Please meet promptly at 8:30am as it is a short hike to the working location.

Reed Park Adopt-a-Creek Workday

Join Julia for an Adopt-a-Creek workday as she works to remove the invasive nandina in Reed Park! Reed Neighborhood Park is a beautiful small park located at 2614 Pecos St. in Tarrytown. The park has a small swimming pool, a child's playground, a historical kiln and a beautiful scenic walk/drive with live oaks, black willows, and bald cypresses with so much personality. This workday will involve removal of nandina, so please wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and a long sleeve t-shirt to make sure you are protected. Keep Austin Beautiful’s Highway 360 Cleanup

Join Keep Austin Beautiful and fellow volunteers for a cleanup of Highway 360. While holiday decorations on the juniper trees might be a fun tradition, taking them down is important to help maintain water quality, reduce litter, and keep critters from eating not-so-healthy artificial snacks.
