At this year’s 30th Clean Sweep, we shook things up with the BioBlitz dance. The dance is taking on the nation and now Clean Sweep. The dance, started by the California Conservation Corps, was created as a means to advocate for green space in cities, access to those spaces, and experiences that make nature both educational and entertaining. The one and only rule for the BioBlitz dance is that it must be done outside. Thus, Keep Austin Beautiful staff member Bernard Smalls and his team of Green Teens took to the stage to demo the dance. Clean Sweep volunteers followed suit to show off their moves and bird calls.
We can describe all we want but the best way to experience the BioBlitz is to watch and then dance for yourself.
Ready. Set. Dance…
Include a BioBlitz dance at your next service project and post on social media tagging Keep Austin Beautiful on Facebook and @KAB_Austin on Twitter for us to share your moves, too.
