In partnership with the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department, Keep Austin Beautiful engages citizens in making a lasting commitment to protect our waterways by adopting a ¼ mile segment for a minimum of two years. Adopters conduct at least four cleanups per year and complete restoration projects in an effort to reduce the amount of trash entering creeks, improve water quality, and restore habitats along waterways.

When you Adopt-a-Creek you are making a commitment to:

  • “Adopt” a ¼ mile of an Austin creek for at least 2 years
  • Conduct at least 4 creek cleanups per year
  • Restore creek habitat
