During the fall and spring, Keep Austin Beautiful hosts high-impact volunteer experiences that serve Austin, called Community Engagement Days. There are numerous Community Engagement Days each month. They are strategically placed in locations that the city, community members, and other mission aligned organizations have designated as “high need” with respect to litter abatement, landscaping, mulching, and green space restoration.

Our Community Engagement Days were formed to support parks, schools, creeks, and neighborhoods where volunteer help would provide the biggest impact for the surrounding communities.

Keep Austin Beautiful staff lead all engagement day projects, teaching volunteers about the history of project sites and the ecological impact of volunteer efforts. We are committed to making a long-term and sustainable difference in Austin.

Volunteer Opportunities for Groups and Individuals

Community Engagement Days are open opportunities for individuals, community and/or corporate groups to volunteer and give back to the Austin community. With frequent opportunities, this program is ideal for corporate groups looking for meaningful service opportunities or team-building experiences and community members who want to help beautify their neighborhoods.
